The right method for each surface.
High pressure is right for block paving and wrong for a roof. Here’s what we use where, and why — ask us about any of it.
- Driveway / block paving
- Rotary surface cleaner, then re-sand
- A spinning head cleans evenly without the stripes a lance leaves. Kiln-dried sand goes back in the joints afterwards so weeds don't.
- Typical time: Half a day to a day
- Patio
- Surface cleaner + biocide treatment
- Clean first, then treat the stone so black spot and algae take much longer to come back.
- Typical time: 2–5 hours
- Roof
- Moss removal by hand, then soft wash
- Tiles aren't built for high pressure. Moss comes off by hand; a low-pressure biocide wash kills what's left so it doesn't grow back.
- Typical time: 1–2 days
- Render & walls
- Soft wash, low pressure
- Render and painted walls mark easily under a jet. A soft wash lifts the green and black staining without touching the finish.
- Typical time: Half a day to a day
- Decking
- Low-pressure wash with the grain
- Timber splinters under high pressure. Washing along the grain at low pressure takes the slippery layer off and leaves the wood intact.
- Typical time: 2–4 hours
- Gutters
- Vacuum clear + fascia wash
- Gutters get cleared from the ground with a vacuum pole; the fascias and soffits get washed while we're there.
- Typical time: 1–3 hours

Questions people ask before booking
It's a guide from typical jobs of that size. Your actual price comes as a fixed quote in writing after we've seen photos or the site — and that written figure is what you pay.
High pressure can, which is why we don't use it on roofs, render or painted walls. Those get a low-pressure soft wash instead. The table under "How we clean" shows the method for each surface.
Not usually. We need access to an outside tap and the areas being cleaned. We'll confirm the day before and send photos when we're done.
It depends on shade, trees and drainage. Treating the surface after cleaning slows regrowth noticeably — ask us what to expect for your property when we quote.
Plants near the work are covered or rinsed, drains and gullies are cleared of debris, and windows and doors are protected from spray.
Yes — for most driveways, patios and decking, a few photos and a rough size are enough for a fixed price. Roofs sometimes need a look first.
